As you may be aware,
dementia can be challenging. It can be isolating for the person living with the
disease and for the people who care for them. It is challenging adjusting to a
new diagnosis, adapting to a new reality as dementia progresses and finally reaching
the last stages of the disease. The Alzheimer Society of B.C. provides
information, education and support for people who are affected by dementia; the
Society exists to make sure they know that they are not alone.
Come together with your family, friends and colleagues to show your support for people affected by dementia by entering a team in the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s on Sunday May 6, 2018.
By registering and fundraising as a team, you ensure that our vital services can continue, and you help reduce the stigma associated the disease. Your team will show everyone affected by dementia that you stand with them and they do not have to walk alone.
When we walk, we walk for moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandparents, friends and the entire dementia community. We honour the people who have passed and acknowledge the work that must be done to ensure help and hope for people living with the disease today.
If you haven't already, register your team here If your team raises $500 before February 28, 2018, you will be entered in a draw to win $500 in Amazon gift cards. You’ve got to be in it to win it!
Together, we can create a movement and make memories matter!
