Thank you for joining us for the 2019 IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s. The donations you make and receive for the Walk help the estimated 70,000 British Columbians living with dementia and the people who care for them.

These gifts contribute to vital Alzheimer Society of B.C. support and learning opportunities, which help people living with the disease live the best life possible. These include:

First Link^® Dementia Helpline

If you are living with dementia or have questions about the disease, call the First Link^® Dementia Helpline at 1-800-936-6033. The Helpline assists individuals in building the confidence to maintain quality of life when facing dementia.

Minds in Motion^®

Minds in Motion^®is a fitness and social program for people experiencing early symptoms of Alzheimer's disease or another dementia and a friend, family member or care partner.

Dementia Education

The Society offers educational programs throughout the province to educate and empower people with dementia, their families and friends.

Support groups

Support groups are there for people who want to inform themselves with current information that will help improve quality of life with the disease. It’s a safe environment where you can learn, laugh and help each other through mutual understanding.

Research

The Alzheimer Society Research Program is a collaborative initiative that funds research into both eliminating dementia and improving the lives of those affected by it.
