I'm Walking For Alzheimer's on May 15 and 29 to help build a dementia inclusive community!
Every day in my work with the Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Katzie, Seniors Network I meet kind, brilliant, and caring individuals and families who are devastated by the ravages of dementia. They inspire me to do what I can to help wrap the community around those individuals, to build inclusiveness and challenge others to find ways to keep showing up for their friends and family who are struggling with memory loss.
I’m taking part in the online IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's on Sunday, May 30, 2021 as the Honouree for the Tri-Cities Ridge Meadows to highlight the work of the Seniors Networks Dementia Friendly Community Task Group.
The Walk is raising funds for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. I've seen how the Society's support can make a difference for individuals and families. A little knowledge can drastically change an individual's experience. I'm walking to celebrate the dedicated advocates in our community who use their experiences to make positive changes for others!
If you can, please help me reach my goal and be a part of the movement to help ensure that British Columbians affected by dementia have access to support, education and information so they can live their best lives possible.
As well as supporting people living with dementia and their families, donations will enable research into the causes of and cure for the disease.
Any amount truly makes a difference. I greatly appreciate your support and your help in making sure the vital work of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. continues.
Together, we make memories matter.
