Welcome to our Team Diane Page!
Team Diane is back after a one year hiatus and this year we've got a new member, Dylan Gordon Ertel! As always we are walking for the reasons outlined below, but first and foremost to honour my mom, Diane Rooney, who has been suffering with Alzheimer's for over 10 years now. Diane is in a wheel chair now after falling and breaking her hip in December 2016, and she doesn't speak often anymore; however, she does smile from time to time when she sees her first grandson, Dylan:) Dylan isn't walking yet, but he turns one on May 4th, two days before the walk, so perhaps he'll be up and motoring by then.
Our team is walking and fundraising in the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's to support British Columbians living with dementia and their families.
We are walking this year to honour people who have passed and to acknowledge the work that must be done to ensure help and hope for the people living with the disease today.
The funds we raise will ensure the estimated 70,000 British Columbians who are living dementia and their families have access to support, education and information. They will also enable research into the causes of and cures for dementia.
Please help us to make a difference by giving whatever you can.
By supporting our team, you are helping the Alzheimer Society of B.C. continue its important work towards a world without dementia.
Thank you in advance for your kind and generous support!
Together, we make memories matter.
