Welcome to My Participant Page
This year's Walk for Alzheimer's is Sunday, May 31st and I am writing to ask you to join in the walk or make a donation to the cause.
Because of COVID-19 and the restrictions put in place to keep us all healthy, this has been a hard year for everyone. Here at the Alzheimer Society, we recognized at the very start that this would be especially difficult for people living with dementia and their caregivers. In-person help from families, friends, and programs was limited to prevent the spread of the disease and people with dementia and their families felt even more isolated. We focused on offering more support through our help line, and have been providing our education and support programs virtually. Check out our over 25 recorded information sessions on our webpage! The silver lining in this pandemic is that we are finding new ways to get relevant, timely, accessible information to all Nova Scotians living with dementia.
Learning about dementia, and having resources and strategies to help is key to living well with the disease. Please help us continue to provide this very important work by walking in support of the Alzheimer Society and increasing awareness and by making a donation to ensure our work carries on.
