Walk for Alzheimer's is Canada's biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. It's a fun and family-friendly way to create new memories while sending a message of hope to the 564,000 Canadians currently living with dementia, and the thousands more who care for them.
Funds raised support programs and services in your community that improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families. With 15,000 people diagnosed with dementia in York Region and no cure yet, the need to support people with dementia and their caregivers has never been greater.
"My family and I walk every year in memory of my grandfather who attended the DAY Program. We would have been lost without the support from AS York and I cannot thank the society enough for the support that was provided."
Can't attend this event or looking for more ways to get involved? Join the Alzheimer Society York Region at our walk in at the Briars Resort in Jackson's Point on Saturday May 25. Click here for more information.
