The Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts is holding our annual Walk for Alzheimer’s with our local sponsors IG Wealth Management and our media sponsors with 89.5the Lake, CKDR and 93.1 the Border.

We are so grateful for their continued support!

What we are asking you is to demonstrate the power of our connections.  Each of us can still do our part to support families living with dementia.  Our Walks will take place in May and June of 2022 by walking your way, running, and even dancing to participate in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s!

Family and friends living with dementia can feel isolated, overwhelmed and anxious.  The Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts is offering Care partners support groups, social recreation, Music and Art Therapy programs.

By registering for the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s and to start fundraising you will help provide funding to ensure these services are available for families when they need it the most.

Below are some of the programs which you will fund:

• Art Therapy – supplies and artist $1200
• Music Project – supplies (iPod touch) $1000
• Lending Resource Library, books and supplies $600

As your charity of choice, I thank you in advance for enabling us to carry out our programs and services with the funds going towards materials and supplies for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
